Recently, hacker(s) broke into accounts of celebrities and made tweets. In the tweets, hacker(s) asked people to send BTC on the mentioned address.

They told people that if anybody will send any amount to address, they will receive it back in double.

My Views

Apparently, it looks like Twitter is compromised, attack is on Business Tycoons.
If you see other side, you know that after hacking accounts, hackers used cryptocurrency to trick people and make them lose tons of money!

And as most of you know, Facebook recently launched Libra – Facebook-created version of blockchain, the encrypted technology used by bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

So, indirectly maybe the threat is to Facebook as they have same technology on which bitcoin works! Maybe a threat to Libra. Governments were already afraid of Libra.

Things can even be opposite! I have seen Facebook’s comment suggestion feature has been really accurate!

But on posts related to this scam, Facebook shows these suggestions.

Seems uncertain but ANYTHING can happen in 2020! And A LOT has happened already!

Staring from COVID-19, Amazon Warehouse California, Third state of Emergency in NSW, Australia, Iranian General Qasem Soleimani killed in US drone strike, Iran launches ballistic missiles in Iraq, Flights crashes, and the list goes on and on…

Also, important to mention that according to CNN:

“Twitter says most accounts have been restored to full functionality, nearly three hours after the company said it was investigating an apparent hack that led it to shut down tweeting for some handles”
